Calibrate Technology Ltd ("Calibrate", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. What data we collect and why

Website enquiries (contact form)

When you submit an enquiry via our contact form, we collect your name, email address, organisation, sector, and message. We use this to respond to your enquiry.

Lawful basis: Legitimate interests (responding to a direct business enquiry).

Retention: We retain enquiry data for 2 years from the date of submission, after which it is permanently deleted.

Whitepaper downloads

When you request our guide ("The Calibrate Method"), we collect your name, email address, and organisation. We use this to send you the guide and, where you have given consent, to contact you about Calibrate's products and services.

Lawful basis: Consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@calibratetechnology.com.

Retention: We retain this data for 2 years from the date of submission, or until you withdraw consent, whichever is sooner. Data is then permanently deleted from our systems.

Website analytics

We do not currently use third-party analytics or tracking cookies on this website.

2. How we store your data

Your data is stored securely on encrypted infrastructure hosted in the UK and EU (Amazon Web Services, eu-west-2 region). All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS). We apply strict access controls: only authorised Calibrate staff can access stored data.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not share data between customer organisations.

3. Third-party processors

We use the following third-party services to operate our website. Each is bound by data processing agreements and appropriate safeguards:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud infrastructure, email delivery (SES), and data storage. Data held in eu-west-2 (London).

4. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk · 0303 123 1113.

5. Cookies

This website does not set any tracking or analytics cookies. We use only technically necessary processes to serve the website.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
